pastel dreams

you probably can’t tell from all the black and white outfits i’ve been posting that i’m actually a big fan of pastel, especially any variations of pink. in my closet, there has been many sherbet pieces collected and neglected over the years. i’m drawn to the femininity and warmth of the color, but also intimated by its sweetness at the same time. like this marc by marc jacob striped camisole that i bought almost 10 years ago (one of my very first designer pieces.) i think i might have worn it total of 3 times in fear of looking too “cutesy.” i guess the bows probably didn’t help the case, but i think it’s for that very same reason that i love this piece so much.  i just can’t seem to part with it because it makes me feel so happy and girly every time i see it… even if it’s just hanging in the closet.
