oldie but a goodie: my favorite room tour

here are some photos i took last year of the room where i used to meet clients.  this room is definitely a labor of love many times over.  since i no longer meet clients here anymore, i have recently changed the artwork on the wall.  now, it’s back to living room/dining room.

i have to say that as much as i love fashion, i am probably 10x more obsessed about interior decor.  there’s nothing in the world i enjoy more than to flip through the latest livingetc, elle decorvogue living, architectural digest, and even back issues of domino, accompanied by some bossa nova music.

my concept for this room was girly chic.  since most of my clients are engaged couples looking for wedding photography, i wanted the room to be romantic and cute yet elegant.  i am in constant struggle between traditional and contemporary styles.  as much as i adore clean lines, i have equal amount of love for over the top glamour.  so i ended up keeping the main furniture contemporary(i.e. sofa, tables, chairs), while accenting the rest of the room with feminin and glitzy pieces.  the good and bad thing about decorating is that it’s always evolving.  there’s no way to ever be done with a project.  even today, with a just a few changes in the artwork, its current state looks quite different from these images.  at least i took some photos before the change, so i’ll always remember how sweet and lovely it was in 2010.

Hehe I love interior design too – HGTV used to be one of my favorite channels lol. I love how you decorated the room; it’s modern but cute and whimsical too. I can’t wait until I move out of my tiny studio so I can find a nice apt to decorate 😛

OH MY-LANTA I am amazed by that dining set (it’s a dining set, right?). Are they acrylic? They look amazing. I’m also in love with your dogs 🙂

oh you changed it? I haven’t been over in so long! I love your decor, you always do such a great job, can’t wait to see what you’ve done! I like how your doggies go perfectly with the decor too. And my dogs would never sit like that. Once the camera comes out they decide to attack it instead of being in the picture!

Love this set up you had though. It was perfect for a 5 hour chat. 😉
